Hello CHHA Young Adults!
It was great to meet some of you at the CHHA National Conference in Ottawa!!!
The Young Adults Network have been busy for the last couple of weeks, preparing a brand-new strategic plan for the 2012/2013 year - to be discussed at.... this year's 2012 AGM!
Mark your calendars for:
When: Saturday, September 15th, 2012
Where: SKYPE - add me at monique.guterres. If you have problems, email me at this account monique.guterres @ gmail.com (remove spaces).
Time: 1PM EST (10:00AM PST / 2:30PM Nfld)
NEW! A 1-hour town-hall will proceed prior to the AGM at Noon EST. We will be discussing what YOU (the members) would like to see from US (the Young Adults Network board of directors). It will also be open to the public, as we'd like to get feedback from everyone as to how we can:
-Improve the CHHA Young Adults Network
-What we need to do differently
-What things you'd like us to do (projects, advocacy, etc)
-The leadership retreat (we'll be giving this another shot!!)
-Other comments
The Minutes from the 2011 AGM and Agenda will be sent out to the membership two weeks prior to the 2012 AGM.
Also an e-mail about Walk2Hear will be sent soon re: Walking for CHHA-YAN.

Youth of Tomorrow - Leadership Retreat - Cancelled
The CHHA Leadership Retreat committee has regretably decided to cancel the CHHA Leadership Retreat due to financial circumstances that could not be rectified in time to ensure a successful retreat.
At this time the Young Adult Network would like to thank all those who showed interest in this retreat and to the organizing committee for all its hard work in the planning of this event.
Those who applied for this retreat will be guaranteed a spot when another event is planned.
We encourage Young Adult Network members to attend the CHHA National conference which is being held May 17th to May 20th in Ottawa, Ontario. To learn more information about the CHHA National Conference, please visit the CHHA website at http://www.chha.ca/conference/info.php

Reminder that the Yellowknife Conference (June 16-18) and you can find the registration form at: http://chha.ca/conference/registration2.ph. It would be awesome to see you all there, and seriously, Yellowknife has to be one of the most unique places we'll have a CHHA National Conference!

Lots of upcoming stuff. We updated Important Dates with new items.
Our AGM will be held November 13, 2010 and will be on MSN like before. The link to get MSN is http://download.live.com/messenger. This is an election year so please if you wish to run visit Nominations page for more information.
There is also a survey request that we encourage everyone to fill out and that is located here. The form is also available in PDF on the left hand menu.
The second episode of HoH TV is available be sure to check it out.
